John W. (Bill) Jones, Lawrenceburg, TN

Services for Bill Jones, will be held on Friday, August 30, 2013 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Home, Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Josh Griffin officiating. Burial will follow in Bell Cemetery, Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be on Thursday, August 29, 6:00-9:00 pm and on Friday, August 30, 8:00 am until service time @ Shackelford Funeral Home, Waynesboro.

Mr. Jones departed this life on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at his residence in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee at the age of 81 Years, 4 Months, 25 Days. He was born April 2, 1932 in Waynesboro, TN the son of the late Pehlix (Red) and Bell Whitehead Jones. In addition to his parents, Mr. Jones was preceded in death by three brothers, Walter Jones, Junior Jones and Sonny Jones; two grandchildren, Shawn West and Ryan Butler. Mr. Jones was a disabled logger.

He was united in marriage to Deborah Kay Staggs on November 14, 1978.

He is survived by ; his wife Deborah Kay (Staggs) Jones of Lawrenceburg, TN; two sons, Steve Jones of Waynesboro, TN, Patrick Jones of Collinwood, TN; three daughters, Linda Vaughn of Iva, SC, Teresa Pope of Killen, AL, and Tonya Mayfield of Lawrenceburg, TN; two brothers, Willard Jones of Charleston, TN, Paul Jones of Birchwood, TN; a sister, Jean Cross of Old Fort, TN; 14 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
