JOHN JESTERHenderson: John Harvey Jester, age 76, died February 17, 2009 at his home.He was born in Dyer County and raised in Memphis, TN, the son of the late Joseph Augusta and Roma Brock Jester. He graduated Messick High School in Memphis in 1950. He entered the U.S. Air Force in 1951 and served in Korea and flew reconnaissance missions pin pointing target areas. He returned in February 1955 to Memphis and went to work for Memphis Light Gas and Water and worked for 25 years. He was married to Dorothy Hadley in 1957. He retired from Memphis Light Gas and Water in 1983 and then started his own Corrosion Control Service in the underline gas business. He continued that business until September 2008, when he became ill. They moved to the Henderson area in 1996, first to Jacks Creek and then to Henderson. He was a member of the St. Andrews Catholic Church in Lexington.He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Hadley Jester of Henderson; two sons, John C. Jester and wife Lynn of Fairview, TN and Joseph Jester and wife Carrie of Henderson; two daughters, Judy Wells and husband Randy of Henderson and Jennifer Paton and husband Chuck of Henderson; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren and one brother, Bill Jester and wife Norma of Spring, TX.
