John H. Hutcherson

Reverend John H. Hutcherson was born October 8, 1924 in Shelby County, Tennessee the son of the late John F. and Icie Browder Hutcherson.He was united in marriage to Frances Weaver on July 13, 1950.Reverend Hutcherson was a minister in the Baptist Church for over 40 years. Prior to his full-time ministry, he was employed for 30 years as a supervisor for Brown Shoe Company. Reverend Hutcherson was a United States Army veteran of World War II, having served in the Pacific Theater of Operations. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking and gardening. When he was not preaching, Reverend Hutcherson attended the Wheeler Grove Baptist Church. Reverend Hutcherson departed this life on November 15, 2010 in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 86 Years, 1 Month, 7 Days. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Frances (Weaver) Hutcherson of Selmer, TN; a daughter, Leigh Ann Johnson and husband Gary of Selmer, TN; a son, Tim Hutcherson of Selmer, TN; three grandchildren: Ken Hutcherson, Wes Johnson, and Albert Hutcherson; two sisters, Georgia Cook and husband George of Selmer, TN and Robbie Jones and husband Gordon of Germantown, TN; and many extended family and friends. In addition to his parents, Reverend Hutcherson was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Hutcherson.
