John F. "Frank" Holland, 71, of Saulsbury, died Monday, July 23, 2007 at Cornerstone Healthcare & Rehabilitation in Corinth.
The husband of Burnell Dixon Holland, who survives, he retired as Chief in the U. S. Navy after 22 years including serving overseas and during the Korean conflict. Mr. Holland was born October 12, 1935 in Newark, New Jersey, son of the late John F. and Anna Hardeman Holland. He lived in New Orleans until 1979 and in Mississippi for a time before making his home in Saulsbury in 2005. Mr. Holland loved his time in the Navy and enjoyed wood crafting and cooking. He was a communicant of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
In addition to his wife, whom he married October 14, 1958, he is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth C. Holland of Saulsbury; two sons, John F. Holland, Jr. of New Orleans, LA and Kenneth Holland of Gretna, LA; a sister, Elizabeth Holland of NJ; two grandchildren, Shannon and Sean Miller, both of PA and a nephew, Joe Holland of NJ.
