John D. Hester

John D. Hester was born December 18, 1917 in McNairy County, Tennessee the son of the late Dick and Minnie Dillon Hester. He was united in marriage to Ruth Smith on September 12, 1942. Mrs. Hester preceded him in death on December 17, 2005.Mr. Hester was a retired farmer and truck driver, and was a veteran of World War II, having served in the United States Army. Mr. Hester departed this life on March 30, 2006 in Bethel Springs, Tennessee at the age of 88 Years, 3 Months, 12 Days. He is survived by a daughter, Carolyn Mullins White of Bethel Springs, Tennessee; a brother, D. C. Hester of Bethel Springs, Tennessee; a half-sister, Lena Plunk of Bethel Springs, Tennessee; a step-sister, Dhalia McCann of Bradford, Tennessee; a granddaughter-in-law, Tammy Mullins Baldwin of Middleton, Tennessee; two great-grandsons, Christopher Cox and Chance Mullins, both of Middleton, Tennessee; and a step-great-granddaughter, Laurn Baldwin of Middleton, Tennessee. In addition to his parents and spouse, Mr. Hester was also preceded in death by a grandson, Danny Mullins; a sister, Gracie Wilson; a brother, Jim Hester; and a step-brother, Vaudie Lofton.
