JOHN “TAB†GOODIN, SR.
Was born in Booneville, Mississippi on July 29, 1937 the son of the late John Harvey and Gladys McCoy Goodin.
On June 28, 1993 he was united in marriage to the former Cleta Joyce Meredith, who survives.
Mr. Goodin was a welder for Hardin County Highway Department. He was a member of the Selmer, Tennessee Moose Lodge #1321 and a member of the Corinth Elk’s Lodge #2573.
Mr. Goodin departed this life on June 18, 2006 at the Hardin Medical Center in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 68 years, 10 months and 20 days.
Other than his wife, Joyce of Adamsville, Tennessee, he is survived by one daughter, Debbie Hutchens of Riverside, Illinois.
2 sons, John Travis Goodin, Jr. of Adamsville, Tennessee and Joseph Goodin of Corinth, Mississippi.
3 step-daughters, Jamie West of Spencer, West Virginia, Pam Crozier of Manchester, Tennessee and Melissa Moody of Georgetown, Kentucky.
One step-son, Jim Nutt, Jr. of Culleoka, Tennessee.
6 grandchildren and 8 step-grandchildren
2 sisters, Janell Roberts of Adamsville, Tennessee and Betty Carol Henderson of Imboden, Arkansas.
2 brothers, J. M. Goodin of Covington, Tennessee and Leon Goodin of Adamsville, Tennessee.
Mr. Goodin was also preceded in death by one brother, Gerald Otis Goodin.
