John William Gooch

John William (Johnny) Gooch was born November 13, 1942 in Jackson, Tennessee the son of the late William Earl and Mary Alice Joslin Gooch. He was united in marriage to Cynthia Marlar Gooch. Mrs. Gooch preceded him in death on August 19, 2002.Mr. Gooch was a meat inspector for the United States Department of Agriculture for 30 years. He was a great father, enjoyed riding horses with his friends and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Selmer.Mr. Gooch departed this life on April 10, 2007 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 64 Years, 4 Months, 28 Days. He is survived by three daughters, Kim Wright and husband Philip of Lakeland, Tennessee, Christy Gooch of Selmer, Tennessee, and Anitra Rea and husband Lymann of Russelville, Alabama; son, Jeremy Crane of Finger, Tennessee; two granddaughters, Kailee Wright of Lakeland, Tennessee and Gracie Crane of Finger, Tennessee; grandson, Alex Crane of Finger, Tennessee.In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Gooch was preceded in death by a sister, Mavoureen Blasingame and brother, Buel Gooch.
