John Hanson Franklin was born on March 11, 1957 in Montgomery, Maryland, the son of the late James Hanson Franklin, Jr. and Virginia Dare Barnes Franklin.

John retired from Standard Construction. He loved going hunting and spending time outdoors.

John Hanson Franklin departed this life on February 22, 2024 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 66 years, 11 months, and 11 days.

He is survived by his fiancee, Rebekah Shook.
