John Lee Duncan

John Lee Duncan of Bethel Springs, Tennessee, was born on June 11, 1930, in Lee County, Mississippi, son of the late John Frank and Mary Louisa Henry Duncan. He was united in marriage to Mazie Lee Williams on October 14, 1950. Mrs. Duncan preceded him in death on June 6, 2009, being two weeks to the day of Mr. Duncan's death. He was a member of the Bethel Springs Church of God of Prophecy. Mr. Duncan owned and operated a septic tank service for many years. He passed from this life on Saturday, June 20, 2009, in Selmer at the age of 79 years and 9 days.



Survivors are two daughters, Sandy King of Bethel Springs and Lori Gaze of Magnolia, Texas; five sons, Danny Duncan of Bethel Springs, Jack Duncan of Cookeville, Tennessee, Ron Duncan and Dave Duncan, both of Selmer, and Roger Duncan of Bethel Springs; a sister, Maudine Hawkins of Selmer; two brothers, James L. Duncan and Charlie Duncan, both of Selmer; thirteen grandchildren, Jeremy Duncan, Andy Duncan, Zachary Duncan, John Duncan, William Duncan, Matthew Duncan, Brad King, Amy King, Casey Duncan, Cole Duncan, David Duncan, Daniel Duncan, Luke Gaze; two great-grandchildren, Ethan Duncan and Anthony Padgett.



A host of other relatives and friends.



Other than his wife and parents, Mr. Duncan was also preceded in death by son, Randy Duncan; two sisters, Hazel Maurine Matlock and Judy Faye Coleman.
