He was born and reared in Henderson County, the son of the late Will Bradford and Millie Ann Hays Davis. He attended Henderson County Schools and was married to Wanda Berkley in 1955. They made their home in Lexington for ten years, McKenzie for ten years and the Bear Creek Community at Pinson since 1979. Mr. Davis was a self employed plumber and electrician. He was a member of the Parkway Church of God.
He is survived by his wife Wanda Berkley Davis of Pinson; two sons Chris Davis (Nancy) of Pinson and Mike Davis (Gina) of Fulton, MS; five grandchildren, Matthew England of Jackson, Justin Davis of Pinson, Nicole Bowden (Tony) of Pinson, Shelby Davis and Ty Davis of Fulton, MS; two great grandchildren Hailey Davis of Jackson and Hunter Bowden of Pinson; one brother J.B. Davis of McKenzie; five sisters, Ruth Woods of Dyersburg, Louise Woods of McKenzie, Helen Floyd of McKenzie, Ann Williams of Paris and Vickie Davis of Dresden.
He was preceded in death by a son Ray Bennett Davis in 1981.
