Paul Jonathan (Big John) Daniel
Big John Daniel passed away July 16, 2013 at Jackson Madison Country General Hospital in Jackson Tennessee.
He was born in Campbell, California son of the late Noel Carter and Clara Ethel Timms Daniel. He was raised in Monte Vista, California until the age of fourteen, when he and his parents moved to Jacks Creek Tennessee. John had always considered Jacks Creek his home. He traveled extensively as a gospel preacher and evangelist serving in many areas of the country. John was married to the love of his life, Lucy Azevedo, on January 5, 1972.
Big John is survived by his wife Lucy Daniel of Jacks Creek; two daughters, Elaine Valdez (Joe) Tulsa, OK, Robin Pulido (Sal) Claremore OK ; two sons Paul Daniel (Lorrie) Chico, TX, Philip Daniel (Rhonda) Henderson, TN and Kim Daniel the mother of Chasiti of Claremore, OK; seven brothers Ben Daniel (Ruth) Luray, TN , Bud Daniel (Dodie) Jacks Creek, TN , Joel Daniel (Beverly) Jacks Creek, TN, Steve Daniel (Dorothy) Jacks Creek, TN, Tim Daniel (Judy) Jackson, TN, Greg Daniel (Anita) Jacks Creek, TN, Mark Daniel (Denise) Jacks Creek ; seven grandchildren, Jo Jo , Chasiti, Lauren, Kaitlyn , Logan, Brianna, Gavin and one great grandson on the way Squirrel.
Funeral Services for Big John will be 2:00 PM Friday at The Pentecostals of Henderson Church with Rick Robbins, Herbie Hitt and Jeff Dykes Officiating. Burial will follow in the Jacks Creek Apostolic Church Cemetery. The Family will receive friends at the Jacks Creek Apostolic Church on July 18, 2013 starting at 5:00 PM until 10 PM and 8 AM until service time on Friday at the Pentecostals of Henderson Church.
