Mr. Bishop passed away Wednesday afternoon at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
A native of Hardeman County, he was born November 5, 1948 to the late Daniel Malcolm Bishop and Annie B. Henley Bishop and lived all of his life in this area. Mr. Bishop was a self-employed bull dozer operator and Baptist in faith.
He is survived by his companion, Candy McCullar of Hickory Valley; a daughter, Rhonda Harris of Hickory Valley; a son and his wife, Rodney Bishop and Elizabeth of Hickory Valley; nine grandchildren, Charley and Dakota Weaver, Kayla and Kelcie Bishop, Shelby Jordan, Houston, Joseph, Seth and Ethan McCullar; a sister, Bobbie Dorris of Bolivar; six brothers, Edward Bishop of Somerville, Morris Bishop of Whiteville, Malcolm Bishop of Bolivar, W.D. Bishop of Somerville, Lloyd Ray Bishop of Hickory Valley and Audie Dean Bishop of Somerville; and one uncle, Drewery Bishop of Hickory Valley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Bishop.
