Joey H. Roberts, 64, of Bolivar, died Monday, February 26, 2007 at his home.
The husband of Janice Marie Luna Roberts, who survives, he was a painter and maintenance worker at Western Mental Health Institute for 38 years. Mr. Roberts was born August 10, 1942 in Middleton, son of the late Pitser Miller Roberts and Ruth Virginia Lambert Roberts and lived here all of his life. He loved to fish, camp and spend time with his family and was Baptist in belief.
In addition to his wife, whom he married August 5, 1961, survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Jackie & Charles Hilliard of Bolivar and Jeanette & Paul Woods of Middleton; one son and daughter-in-law, Joey Roberts, Jr. and Mae Mae of Bolivar; two sisters, Frances Hampton of Toone and Jeannie Hindman of Corinth, Miss.; two brothers, Jerome and Jaime Roberts, both of Bolivar; six grandchildren, Andy, Christy, Heather, Bubba, Trey and Ethan; two step grandchildren, Christen and Aaron and three great grandchildren, Cullin, “Little Andy†and “one on the wayâ€. He was preceded in death by one sister, Irene McLean.
