Joel Delano Phillips

Funeral services for Joel Delano Phillips, will be held on Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Home, Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Greg Eaton officiating. Burial will follow in the Cromwell Crossroads Cemetery at Collinwood, Tennessee . Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County in charge of the arrangments.



Visitation will be on Monday, July 21 from 6:00-9:00 pm and on Tuesday, July 22, from 8:00 am until service time @ Shackelford Funeral Home, Waynesboro



Mr. Phillips departed this life on July 19, 2008 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 71 Years, 4 Months, 4 Days. He was born March 15, 1937 in Cullman, Alabama the son of the late Thomas Jefferson and Lettie Jewel Davis Phillips. In addition to his parents, Mr. Phillips was preceded in death by

; five brothers, Roy Phillips, Raymond Phillips, Thomas (Skeet) Phillips, Harry Phillips, James Phillips; and infant unnamed sister.



Joel was a auto mechanic with General Motors and member of United Auto Workers.



He was united in marriage to Patricia Ann Reatherford on January 5, 2006.



He is survived by ; his wife Mrs. Patricia Ann (Reatherford) Phillips of Savannah, TN;

Son; Todd Phillips (Sandra) of Summertown, TN,

Step son; David Lowe of Waynesboro, TN;

step grandchildren

Sister, Alice Mae Campbell of Hazel Park, MI;
