Joe Lee Whirley

Joe Lee Whirley was born March 10, 1940 in McNairy County, Tennessee the son of the late William Lonzo and Carrie Lee Robertson Whirley.He was united in marriage to Thida Marie Dawson on October 17, 1975.Mr. Whirley was a retired logger and farmer. He had been a member of the Gospel Tabernacle Church for 36 years. During that time, he only missed attending seven services. Mr. Whirley departed this life on May 23, 2009 in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 69 Years, 2 Months, 13 Days. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Thida Marie (Dawson) Whirley of Ramer, TN; a daughter, Marida Jo (Whirley) King and husband Jason of Ramer, TN; a grandchild, William Landon Whirley of Ramer, TN; a sister, Jessie Mae Lewis of Guys, TN; two brothers: W. C. Whirley of Jackson, TN and Eddie Franklin Whirley of Ramer, TN; and a host of extended family and friends. In addition to his parents, Mr. Whirley was preceded in death by a son, William (Bubba) Whirley.
