Joe Clint Talley

Mr. Talley was born and reared in the Talley Store Community of Chester County, the son of the late R.A. Talley, Sr. and Johnnie Florence Morris Talley. He graduated Chester County High School. He was married to Maurine Seaton in 1938 and lived all their married life in the Talley Community. Mr. Talley was a farmer, a ginner at Talley’s Gin, and he owned and operated Talley’s Country Store for over forty years, retiring in 1982. He loved sports, playing checkers and putting together puzzles.



He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Maurine Seaton Talley of Henderson; a daughter, Joan Talley Marberry and husband Larry of Pinson; a grand daughter Andrea Leigh Moody and husband Jeff of Jackson, a great grandchild Jackson Lee Moody; and a sister, Loraine Reddin of Henderson.



He was preceded in death by a brother, R.A. Talley, Jr.
