Joe T. Sterling

Mr. Sterling passed away Sunday evening at Bolivar General Hospital.
The husband of Lonita Beasley Sterling, who survives, he was retired as a logger. He was born to the late J. W. and Bertha Lee Brooks Sterling and lived all of his life here.
In addition to his wife, whom he married on April 4, 1987, survivors include a daughter, Buffy Sterling of Memphis; three sons, Ricky Sterling and James 'Bubba' Sterling, both of Medon and Jody Sterling of Memphis; two brothers, Junior Sterling of Gleason and John Sterling of Toone; two sisters, Wilma Wilson of Hornsby and Carolyn Ann Dowdy of Bolivar; 12 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Ray Sterling.
