Services will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Home, Waynesboro , Tennessee, with Cary Crews and Owen Stricklin officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Gardens , Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Pollock departed this life on Monday, April 20, 2009 at Centennial Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee at the age of 79 Years, 11 Months, 4 Days.
He was born May 16, 1929 in Lawrence County, Tennessee the son of the late Pascal and Gertrude Emma Hooper Pollock. Mr. Joe was preceded in death by seven brothers.
Mr. Pollock was a carrier with the United States Postal Service . He was a member of the Church of Christ, Shriners and Masonic Lodge #127 , Waynesboro,TN. He served his counrty in the United States Army and the United States Air Force.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy (Stricklin) Pollock of Nashville, TN;
daughter, Cinda Moss of Nashville, TN;
sister, Kit Houser of Lawrenceburg, TN;
several nieces and nephews
