Joe David Horton was born on June 11, 1945 in Hardin County, Tennessee, the son of the late John Henry and Dovie Louise Bailey Horton.
On November 18, 1998, he was united in marriage to Yvonne Cornelius, who survives.
Mr. Horton honorably served his county in the United States Army. He worked for PCA as a crew leader on the paper machine. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and attended Cornerstone Baptist Church in Savannah, Tennessee. David was a hard worker and enjoyed fishing and telling stories of things he had experienced. He was kind, wise, and a very good listener. David loved life and loved his family.
Joe David Horton departed this life on January 14, 2021 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 75 years, 7 months, and 3 days.
He is survived by his wife, Yvonne Horton of Savannah, Tennessee; sons, Joe Horton of Belmont, Mississippi, John Horton of Florence, Alabama, and Matthew Horton of Savannah, Tennessee; daughter, Amy Siwinski of Tampa, Florida; step sons, Brice Turner of Indiana, Brandon Turner of Savannah, Tennessee, and Wesley Turner of Alabama; sisters, Pat Martin of Albequerque, New Mexico and Jeanette Alexander and Johnnie Ruth Allen, both of Savannah, Tennessee; brothers, Charles Horton of Savannah, Tennessee and Jerry Horton of Stantonville, Tennessee; and grandchildren, Blake Horton, Aydin Horton, Ragenal Reece, Aaliyah McCoy, Sara Siwinski, Jesse Siwinski, Linsey Siwinski, Chloe Turner, and Brayden Turner.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his sister, Maxine Newman and brother, Lee Paulk Horton.
