Joe Carroll

Joe Carroll of Michie, Tennessee, was born on March 3, 1935, son of the late Dewey and Mary Wood Carroll.
He was united in marriage to Joanne Naylor on February 5, 1955, and was a retired electrician and farmer. He was a 1954 graduate of Michie High School, a 32nd degree Mason and a member of IBEW and past President of Local Union 852. He served for many years on the McNairy County Democrat Executive Committee. Mr. Carroll died on Tuesday, July 28, 2009, at the age of 74 years, 4 months, and 25 days.
Survivors are his wife of 54 years Joanne Naylor Carroll of Michie; two sons, Frank Carroll of Michie and Brian Carroll of Bermuda, Louisiana; a brother, James D. Carroll of Chattanooga, Tennessee; six sisters, Joyce Cochran of Memphis, Wanda Tucker of Michie, Martha Dupree of Michie, Barbara Rains of Portage, Indiana, Linda Carpenter of Corinth, Mary Bassett of Georgia; six grandchildren, Joey Carroll of Michie, Courtney Clark of Covington, Louisiana, Patrick Carroll of Michie, Kalee Carroll of Nashville, Tennessee, Hunter Carroll of LaPlace, Louisiana, Jackson Carroll of Bermuda, Louisiana; two great-grandchildren, Tori Carroll and Layla Carroll of Michie. A host of other relatives and friends.
Other than his parents, Joe was also preceded in death by three brothers, Elwood Carroll, Hoyt Carroll, and Frank Carroll.
