Jacks Creek: Joe Robert Anderson, age 80, died January 29, 2009 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.He was born and reared in Jacks Creek Community in Chester County, the son of the late John Bryan and Reba Mae Holley Anderson. He attended school in Henderson and Plainview. He was married to Jean Hopper in 1951 and they made their home in Jacks Creek Community all their married life. He had farmed as a young man and worked at Forked Deer Stave Company in Jackson for many years. He was a self employed trucker and had also worked at Century Electric in Lexington and later worked for the Environmental Department at the Main Station in Henderson from 1995 until 2004.He is survived by his wife, Jean Hopper Anderson; a son- in-law, Jimmy Dyer of Jacks Creek; a granddaughter, Kristy Sherrod and husband Chip of Henderson; three brothers, Ray Anderson of Phoenix, AZ, Kenneth Anderson of Lexington, TN and Thomas Anderson of Quincy, IL and a sister, Georgia Brown of Lexington.He was preceded in death by a daughter, Debbie Anderson Dyer in 2000.
