Joanne Yeager Shaw was born on September 23, 1931 in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Bruce and Helen Rook Yeager.
On June 2, 1956, she was united in marriage to Eddie L. Shaw, who preceded his wife in death on August 31, 2014.
Mrs. Shaw was the owner of Ed Shaw's Restaurant & Gift Shop and Adamsville Sand & Gravel. She was a member of Pickwick United Methodist Church and Hardin County Bank Board of Directors. Joanne enjoyed going shopping and buying lots of clothes and pretty jewelry. She loved hosting parties and cookouts and spending time dancing, telling jokes, and playing chicken foote. Joanne also loved traveling, Hot Springs Horse Racing, and going to Tunica, Mississippi. She was always sending cards to her family and friends and loved any time she got to spend with them just having fun together.
Joanne Yeager Shaw departed this life on Friday, May 27, 2022 in Counce, Tennessee at the age of 90 years, 8 months, and 4 days.
She is survived by her son, Eddie L. Shaw II and his wife Cheryl of Counce, Tennessee; daughter, Rita Shaw-Maxedon and her husband Danny of Counce, Tennessee; granddaughter, Holly Shaw-Bates and her husband Robley; and great grandchildren, Shaw Bates and Savannah Bates.
