Joan Wilkins

Joan Buck Wilkins died Sunday February 18, 2007. She was born September 8, 1932 in Tiptonville, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Ila Buck and her husband, Joe Brown Wilkins. She lived in Adamsville, Tennessee for 54 years. During this time, she was one of the original owners of Modern Florist, and worked with floral shops in Selmer and Savannah. She also worked as a Real Estate Agent and with mentally challenged adults at McNairy County Adult Center. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Adamsville. Joan, in her senior days, really enjoyed being in the "Red Hat Club" of Adamsville with many of her dear friends. Joan was a loving wife, mother, and dear "Nana." Survivors include a daughter, Donna Forbess and husband Bobby and their children: Amanda Fortune, Julia Kirkland and Ryan Forbess, all of McKenzie, Tennessee; a son, Lowe Wilkins and wife Janet and their son Connor, all of Chattanooga, Tennessee; and five great-grandchildren: Patrick Harris, Zachary and Madison Fortune, Kayla and Darren Kirkland.
