Jo Ann Robertson, age 93, passed away after a brief illness on July 1, 2023, at Harmony Senior Living in Simpsonville, South Carolina where she had resided for the past 6 years. During this time, she was loved and embraced by newfound friends as well as a loving and caring staff.

Jo Ann grew up in Henderson, TN in the Sandhill Community, the daughter of Harold and Mabel Patterson, along with her sister, Wilmina and brother, Keith. She married Ennis Brown Robertson in 1950 and celebrated 69 years together before his passing in 2019. Jo Ann and Ennis had two sons, Don Robertson (Carlette Humbard) of Farragut, TN, and Danny (Lynn) Robertson of Moore, South Carolina along with one granddaughter, Anna Robertson.

Jo Ann was a lifelong member of the Oak Grove Cumberland Presbyterian Church where she was actively involved as a teacher in Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and the Womens Organization. She worked for many years in TN with the Department of Human Services, however, her favorite job was being “MeMaw” to her only granddaughter Anna.

Family and friends are invited to gather at Shackelford Funeral Home, Henderson Tennessee on July 6 from 9 am until 10 am for visitation. Graveside Interment will follow at 11 am at Oak Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Oak Grove Cemetery Fund (Patti Pickler, P. O. Box 448, Henderson, TN  38340).
