Jimmy "Pops" Rickman was born on October 30, 1950 in Baldwyn, Mississippi, the son of the late James Lee Rickman, Sr. and Mabelle Smith Rickman. On December 20, 1968, he was united in marriage to Theresa Franks, who survives.
Mr. Rickman worked for Ingle Ship Yard in Pasacagoula, Mississippi for 2 years and for American Food Serivce in Savannah, Tennessee as a welder for 10 years. He was of the Baptist belief and enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching the History Channel on TV, camping, and his cars.
Jimmy "Pops" Rickman departed this life on Thursday, January 2, 2020 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 69 years, 2 months, and 3 days.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Theresa Rickman of Stantonville, Tennessee; daughters, Tina Rickman of Stantonville, Tennessee and Michelle Bernier, and her husband Chris, of Adamsville, Tennessee; son, Tony Rickman, and his wife Trista, of Tupelo, Mississippi; 10 grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, James Lee Rickman III; and his sister, Lynn Carr.
