Jimmy (Coon) Plunk was born September 26, 1937 in McNairy County, Tennessee the son of the late Carl and Reedie Perkins Plunk.Mr. Plunk graduated from Adamsville High School in 1958. On November 26, 1958, he was united in marriage to Nancy Smith. Mr. Plunk was employed by the Tennessee Department of Transportation, retiring after 31 years of service. He served his state and nation in the Tennessee National Guard for 8 years, and was a member of the Mt. Sharon Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed collecting items of interest and loved to visit every flea market he could. Mr. Plunk departed this life on January 10, 2011 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 73 Years, 3 Months, 15 Days. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Nancy Plunk of Adamsville, TN; a son, Jimmy Lee Plunk and wife Lesa of Adamsville, TN; two grandchildren, Dustin Plunk and Dillon Plunk; and many extended family and friends.In addition to his parents, Mr. Plunk was preceded in death by two brothers, Glenn Plunk and Grady Plunk.
