Jimmy Joseph Pipkin

March 8, 1938 — September 27, 2008

Mr. Pipkin died Saturday morning, September 27, 2008 at the Bolivar General Hospital.



A native and life-long resident of Hardeman County, he was the son of the late Lester N. Pipkin and Ordra Cleatus Smalley Pipkin. A graduate of Middleton High School, class of 1956, he was a cook at Western Mental Health Institute for many years and also ran the Middleton Game Room. He was a member of the New Hope church of Christ.



He leaves his long-time companion, Diane Woods of Bolivar; two daughters, Carie Brewer and her husband Anthony of Walnut, MS and Debbie Brock, also of Walnut; one son, Nicky Pipkin and his wife, Pam of Walnut; six grandchildren, Cody Tomlinson and his wife Krystina, Eleni and Hunter Tomlinson, Ben and Austin Brock and Beth Dixon; two step-grandchildren, Sheena and Ethan Ray.



He was preceded in death by his brother, Homer Lee Pipkin.
