Mr. Pipkin died at home Monday, August 20, 2012.



A native of Shelby County, he was the son of Earnest Carl and Margaret Ethel Norton Pipkin. He grew up in Middleton, where he formerly attended the church of Christ. He had also lived in DeSoto County, MS and Shelby County, TN.



He worked as a mechanic, primarily on foreign cars, and had formerly owned his own business. Amond his past-times, he enjoyed daily coffee with his friends, flea markets, collecting antiques and cars.



He leaves as his survivors 3 daughters, Karen Brown of Olive Branch, MS, Tammy Dillman of Jackson, TN and Tabatha Bell of Lexington, TN; 1 son, Jimmy Pipkin of Olive Branch; 1 sister, Mary Elizabeth Talley of Southaven, MS; a half-sister, Mary Carolyn Miller of Elephant Butte, NM; 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.



In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Danny Pipkin; a brother, Earnest Gerald Pipkin; a half-brother, Launeze Pipkin; and a grandson, Joe Lambert, Jr.
