JIMMY MULLINS
Jackson, TN: James William Mullins, age 63 passed away February 13, 2023, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
He was born July 29, 1959, in Jackson, TN the son of the late Sammy Leon and Helen Ruth Gray Mullins. He grew up in Jackson and attended Southside High School.
He married Susan Ridley on February 14, 1982, and they have been married one day shy of forty-one years. They made their home in Jackson.
He was a member of the Malesus Baptist Church.
He worked in various places and for himself as a maintenance technician especially in HVAC. He retired in 2005 due to poor health.
He served in various leadership roles with Boy Scouts of America and spent many of his vacations working at Camp Mack Morris.
He was helpful and compassionate and often worked for less then normal business prices for those less fortunate.
He loved to tinker with electronics and mechanics and loved to fish.
Mr. Mullins is survived by his wife, Susan Marie Ridley Mullins of Jackson; two sons, Will Mullins (Amber) of Henderson and Ethan Mullins (Sarah) of Pinson; three grandchildren, Justice Mullins, Liam Mullins and Kade Mullins; a brother, Sammy Mullins (Marty) of Jackson; two sisters, Donna Herndon of Jackson and Linda Anthony of Jackson; and also, close friends, Jerry Wilson and Adrian Silva.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – East Main Chapel with Mark Cagle officiating.
The family will receive friends at East Main Chapel from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM Wednesday.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Brodie Weeks Memorial Scholarship, through a check or money order to West Tennessee Healthcare Foundation, 74 Directors Row, Jackson, TN 38305 or online at WTHFoundation.org.
