Jimmy E. Lipford was born August 10, 1941 in McNairy County, Tennessee the son of the late Gilbert Lee and Omie May Gray Lipford.He was united in marriage to Patricia Nell Denny Lipford who survives.Mr. Lipford was a steel construction worker in Hammond, Indiana, for approximately 25 years. He was also the owner and operator of the Back Porch Restaurant in Shiloh, Tennessee for 18 years and a lifetime member of the Fraternal Order of Police.Mr. Lipford departed this life on December 29, 2005 in Shiloh, Tennessee at the age of 64 Years, 4 Months, 19 Days.In addition to his wife, Patricia Nell Denny Lipford of Shiloh, Tennessee; Mr. Lipford is survived by a daughter, Angela Kay Lipford of Selmer, Tennessee; two sons, Jimmy Lee Lipford and Randal Wayne Lipford both of Shiloh; four sisters, Margaret Marckle of Corinth, Mississippi, Nora Mae Ashe of Stantonville, Tennessee, Mary Francis Gray of Shiloh, Agnes Ruth (Polly) Barber of Selmer; one brother, Floyd (Herb) Burks of Corinth; and four grandchildren, Cecily Ann Lipford of Jackson, Tennessee, Jonathan Walker Lipford of Selmer, Frank S. Hathcock and Calinda Lee Wilbanks both of Michie, Tennessee, Danny Myrkle of Panama City, Florida, who was like a son to Mr. Lipford and future son-in-law, Kenneth Freeman also of Selmer.Other than his parents, Mr. Lipford was preceded in death by two brothers, James O. (Tom) Burks and Wilford Lipford.
