Jimmy Clyde Jones was born March 18, 1945 in McNairy County, Tennessee the son of the late Zelford and Artie Lee Nixon Jones.Mr. Jones was a heavy equipment operator for Morrison/Knudsen Construction Company. The Tennessee Tom-Bigbee Waterway and the Monteagle Mountain Highway were two notable projects on which he worked. Mr. Jones also drove a truck in his later years. Mr. Jones departed this life on December 7, 2010 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 65 Years, 8 Months, 19 Days. He is survived by a daughter, Lea Ann Stutts and husband Darrell of Selmer, TN; two sons, Scott Jones and fiancee Donna Spears of Selmer, TN and Anthony Jones and wife Margaret of Chickamauga, GA; five grandchildren: Roger Payne, Kara Jones, T. J. Neece, Matthew Dylan Jones, and Kacie Finley; four sisters: Lavon Sullivan of Selmer, TN, Nita Garrison and husband Charlie of Crump, TN, Betty Stocks of Selmer, TN, and Dorothy Pettigrew and husband Joe David of Adamsville, TN; a brother, Sammy Jones of Savannah, TN; and many extended family and friends.In addition to his parents, Mr. Jones was preceded in death by a sister, Nell Chambers; and two brothers, Garland Jones and Mike Jones.
