He born and reared in Chester County, the son of the late Hubert Ronald and Eva Estelle Peddy Clifford. He graduated Chester County High School in 1956 and attended Freed-Hardeman College. He married Janice patrick in 1962 and they made their home in Henderson. They owned and operated Jeans and Things on Main Street in Henderson, opening in 1983 and also was involved in wholesale clothing distribution. Mrs. Clifford died in 1992. Jimmy continued to make his home in Henderson until 2006, when he moved to Nashville and made his home near his son William. He is survived by a daughter, Amy Clifford of Denver, CO and two sons, Brian Clifford of Savage, MD and William Clifford of Nashville and two grandchildren, Kate and Harrison Clifford.
