Jimmie "Bud" Teague

Jimmie "Bud" Teague was born on November 16, 1937 in Poinsett County, Arkansas, the son of the late Lloyd Simpson and Ruby Mae Bryant Teague.

On June 2, 1955, he was united in marriage to Shirley Casey, who preceded her husband in death on August 3, 2022.

Jimmie was a man of many talents & experiences, who lived a life full of purpose and connection.

His career journey was equally diverse, having worked a plumber at Willing & Able plumbing in Chicago Heights, IL to a worker at a varnish factory to a working in management at Sun Chemical in Kankakee IL to working at Tom Bigsby water way to Morrison Knudsen mining as a mechanic and ending his career in management.

Jimmie's larger than life personality left an indelible mark on everyone he met. Known for his kindness , he never met a stranger and cherished conversation with people from all walks of life. He had a gift for making everyone feel welcome & valued.

Jimmie found joy in life's simple pleasures. He was passionate about fishing. He loved the tranquility of fishing and being in his boat on a body of water. He loved to work on cars and to teach others on how to care for their vehicle. He would help others with the cost of the repair if they needed it. Jimmie had an uncanny ability to make the most of what he had, a quality that inspired those around him.

He loved his Grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Jimmie was deeply loved by his family & friends and will be remembered for his warmth and ability to help others in repairing their vehicles, and enjoyed helping others when they needed the most.

Jimmy "Bud" Teague departed this life on April 23, 2025 in Adamsville, Tennessee, at the age of 87 years, 5 months, and 7 days.

He is survived by his children, Jimmie Teague, Jr., Karen Teague Myroup, and Teresa Teague Burgess and her husband Wilburn; grandchildren, Jimmie Teague, III and his wife Malinda, Patrick L. Ortell and his wife Destiny, Joe Ortell, Richard Claued Myroup and his wife Pascale, and Bryant Myroup and his wife Melissa; great grandchildren, Luke Teague, Cole Teague, Benjamin Myroup, Landon Myroup, Aiden Myroup, Hudson Myroup, Madelyn Myroup, Cecilia Myroup, and Gabriel Myroup.

In addition to his wife and parents, Jimmie was preceded in death by his sisters, Ame Jean Teague Hurt, Rosemary Teague Davis, and Irene Teague Hare.
