Jimmie Lee Kennedy

Henderson, TN: Jimmie Lee Kennedy, age 76, died November 15, 2008 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.



He was born in Henderson County, TN and reared in Sardis, TN, the son of the late Jimmy Cain and Flossie Clenney Kennedy. He farmed as a young man and served in U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was married to Gloria Jean Cupples in 1956. He worked in Road Construction until he became disabled in 1985. Mrs. Kennedy preceded him in death. He made his home in Henderson where he pursued the hobby of lawn mower repair. Mr. Kennedy was a member of the Jacks Creek Apostolic Church.



He is survived by two daughters, Judy Kennedy and Carla Moore (Junior); four sons, Ricky Kennedy (Regina), Michael Kennedy (Tiffany), Kenneth Kennedy (Deana) and Jeffrey Kennedy (Sharon) all of Henderson; 17 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.



He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Jean Cupples Kennedy (2007) and three sisters, Dorothy Kennedy, Helen Kennedy and Oleta Anderson.
