Jimmie Elizabeth Keller

Mrs. Jimmie Elizabeth Sanders Keller of Whiteville departed this life at the age of 86 years Wednesday night, March 27, 2013 at Bolivar General Hospital.



Mrs. Keller was born in the Hebron community near Middleton June 18, 1926 to the late James Wesley and Freddie Tickle Sanders. She was united in marriage to Joe Keller, who survives, in April of 1947 and worked with him on their farm. She was also a substitute teacher in the Whiteville school system. She lived all of her life in Hardeman County and was a member of the Whiteville First Baptist Church since 1947 where she was a Sunday School teacher. She was a member of the Friendship Club in Whiteville and loved entertaining her family and traveling.



In addition to her husband of 65 years, she is survived by a sister, Sara James of Stevensville, Maryland and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; five sisters, Doris Todd, Ruth Wheeler, Mary Breeden, Sue Davis, and Henrietta Sanders; and two brothers, Ivo Sanders and Robert Sanders.
