Henderson: Jimmy Huey ‘Jim’ Thomas was born September 21, 1959 in Henderson, Tennessee, the son of Louise Hurst Thomas and Edward Purkee Thomas. He passed away June 26, 2018 at the age of 58 years. He was doing what he loved to do, operating a track hoe. He spent his life operating heavy equipment, most recently for the Jones family.
He leaves one daughter Danielle Thomas Melton and husband Matthew of Brookland, AR, and two grandsons, Jordan and Lucas. He leaves his twin brother Jeff Thomas of Memphis and four sisters, Janice Armour and Judy Harris of Henderson, Jodi Thomas of Carolina Shores, NC and Brenda Thomas Williams of Lubbock, TX.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Marsha Thomas Harrison, and a nephew Ryan Harris.
A memorial service for family and friends will be 2:00 PM Saturday at Shackelford Funeral Directors Crook Avenue with visitation beginning at 12 noon Saturday. Glenn Harris will officiate.
