JIM HEALY

Bethel Springs, TN: James Robert Healy age 84 passed away March 18, 2023, at his home.

He was born June 24, 1938 in Erie, PA, the son of the late Richard T. and Elizabeth Steward Healy. He graduated from Strong Vincent High School in 1955.

He entered the U.S. Marine Corp and served twenty years. He served in Vietnam in 1968 until 1969 and retired in 1975 in Memphis.

 He married Linda Gill in 2004. They made their home at Bethel Springs.

He worked ten years for TVA at Allen Steam Plant in Memphis and retired after ten years with Hunter Fan in Memphis.

He enjoyed gardening and listening to music. He loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Mr. Healy is survived by  his wife, Linda Joy Gill Healy of Bethel Springs; three daughters, Vickie Stoltzfus of Bethel Springs, Judy Howell of Bethel Springs and Lavonia Clay of Hornsby, TN; twelve grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, John Healy and Richard Healy and two stepsons, Billy Helton and Robert Helton.   

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, March 23^rd. at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue Chapel with Bro. Iran Smith officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Sweetlips Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue on Wednesday, March 22nd from 5:00 - 8:00 PM and from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM service time on Thursday.
