Jim Davison
was born in the Oak Grove Community on March 26, 1925 the son of the late George Washington and Anner Myrtle Ray Davison.
On May 12, 1945 he was united in marriage to the former Artie Blanche Caperton who preceded him in death on March 23, 1982.
Mr. Davison was a charter member of the Savannah Fire Department and a member of the Hardin County Rescue Squad. He worked as a self-employed carpenter and as a mechanic for RayMay Motors.
He departed this life on April 28, 2006 at Hardin Home Nursing Home in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 81 years, 1 month and 2 days.
Mr. Davison is survived by 3 daughters: Elaine Brewer of Adamsville, Tennessee,
Donna Bevis of Savannah and Kaye Plunk of Savannah;
4 grandchildren: Mike Brewer, Kerry Phillips, Zach Bevis and Miriam Bevis Farris;
one great-grandchild, Morgan Brewer and one sister, Frankie Marie Davis of Savannah, Tennessee.
In addition to his parents and wife, Artie Blanche Davison, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers: William, Earl and Jesse Davison
and 3 sisters: Raye Davison Boone, Johnnie Davison Sharp
and Grace Davison Woody.
Mr. Davison was known as a good man who loved his family and always tried to help his family and friends.
