She was born and reared in Sardis, TN the daughter of the late Alvin and Addie Morris Austin, and attended schools at Sardis. She was married to Ezra Plunk in 1935. They made their home in Chester County. Mr. Plunk died in 1965. She was married to Tom Allington in 1967. They made their home in Buena Vista in Carroll County most of their married life. Mr. Allington died in 1994. She was a member of the Eastern Star and a member of the Presbyterian Church in Huntingdon. Mrs. Allington was an avid gardner and enjoyed sewing and quilting.
She is survived by children, Shirley Evans of Jackson, Gail Clement of Henderson, Brenda Garrett and Jo Ellen Garrett both of Bolivar, Janice Ada Lindsey of Corinth, MS, Tina Scribner of Nashville, Eugene Plunk of Scotts Hill, Ronnie Plunk of Joliet, IL and Randy Plunk of McKenzie; 15 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Kenneth (Bud) Ray Plunk and Larry Neal Plunk, two grandchildren, Jeffery and Gregory Evans; two sisters, Bessie Robertson and Velma Stanford and a brother, Raymond Austin.
