Jewell Halloween Kelley Martindale

Jewell Halloween Kelley Martindale was born on November 1, 1916, in McNairy County, to the late James Abner and Lela Mae Cardwell Kelley. She married Carl J. D. Martindale on December 12, 1936. Mr. Martindale preceded her in death on June 7, 1969.Mrs. Martindale was a member of Chewalla Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and a great mother who was loved very much. She loved to quilt and care for her family and friends. She passed from this life on Saturday, October 4, 2008, at her home at the age of 91 Years, 11 Months, and 3 Days.Survivors are two daughters, Marlene Byrd of Memphis, Tennessee, and Faye Austin of Ramer,Tennessee; Son, Ray Martindale of Corinth, Mississippi; Sister, Annie Mae Suggs of Chewalla, Tennessee; 16 Grandchildren; 16 Great - Grandchildren; 5 Great-Great-Grandchildren.A host of other relatives and friends.Other than her husband and parents, Mrs. Martindale was also preceded in death by two sons, Jamie and Ardie Martindale, a daughter, Kathlene Clark, and a sister Clyttee Johnson. She was also preceded in death by a brother who died at birth.
