Jetty Williams Lane was born July 10, 1929 in Tiptonville, Tennessee the daughter of the late John Lee Williams and the late Ellie Potter Jacobs.
She was united in marriage to Charles E. Lane on June 25, 1948.
Mrs. Lane was a Licensed Practical Nurse, having worked for the Bolivar Community Hospital in Cleveland, Mississippi. She practiced nursing for 30 years. She was also a member of the Adamsville church of Christ.
Mrs. Lane departed this life on August 13, 2006 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 77 Years, 1 Month, 3 Days. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Charles E. Lane of Selmer, Tennessee; a daughter, Karen Lane Stephens and husband Jim of Cordova, Tennessee; a son, Charles E. Lane Jr. and wife May of Corinth, Mississippi; two grandsons: Joey Lane and Russell Lane, both of Corinth, Mississippi; a brother, Harry Williams of Collierville, Tennessee; and three half-sisters: Ellie Walton of Samburg, Tennessee and Hazel Haney and Pat Morris, both of Tiptonville, Tennessee. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lane was also preceded in death by a grandson, Charles E. (Shelby) Lane III; four brothers: James Lee Williams, Fred Williams, Earl Williams and Houston Williams; a half-brother, Sam Jacobs; and two sisters: Evelyn Jetton and Avalyn Thorpe.
