Jesse H. Garvin

Jesse H. Garvin was born May 21, 1916 in Bolivar, Tennessee the son of the late Cecil Garvin and the late Sally Doles Garvin. He was a U. S. Army World War II veteran and a farmer.He was united in marriage to Pauline Woods Garvin who preceded him in death on June 12, 1999.Mr. Garvin departed this life on Tuesday, November 22, 2005, at McNairy Regional Hospital in Selmer at the age of 89 Years, 6 Months, 1 Day.Survivors are his stepsons, Frank Estle King and Henry Arvie King, both of Selmer; a sister Lessie Plymel of Citra, Florida; 2 brothers, Virgil Garvin and Bob Garvin, both of Live Oak, Florida; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.Other than his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by a stepson Felix King and 2 stepdaughters, Dona Mae King and Mattie Sue King, who died at a very young age.
