Jesse D. Burkeens

Jesse D. (Moda) Burkeens was born on Friday, December 10, 1937, the son of the late Drew Archie and Ruth Cosby Burkeens. He was a U. S. Army veteran, a retired auto mechanic, and a Baptist.Mr. Burkeens passed from this life on Tuesday, October 24, 2006, in Corinth, Mississippi, at the age of 68 years, 10 months, and 14 days.Survivors are two daughters, Kathy Dye of Hornsby, Tennessee, and Jessica (Sissy) Burkeens of Selmer, Tennessee; two sons, Alan Burkeens and James Burkeens, both of Selmer; two sisters, Shirley Stroud of Memphis, and Belinda Hardin of Guys, Tennessee; three brothers, Lonnie Burkeens of Bolivar, Tennessee, Doyle Burkeens of Adamsville, Tennessee, and Daphene Burkeens of Memphis.8 Grandchildren and 4 Great-Grandchildren
