Jerry Don Wilson, a devoted father and beloved grandfather, passed away on April 11, 2025, in Selmer, Tennessee, at the age of 84. Born on November 19, 1940, in Missouri.
Jerry Don proudly served in the United States Navy, an experience that instilled in him values of service and dedication. After his military service, he contributed to his community through his career at Ripley Industries, where his work ethic and integrity were well-respected. Jerry's personality was defined by his constant willingness to lend a helping hand to those around him, embodying the essence of true kindness.
Alongside his professional endeavors, Jerry found joy in his hobbies, particularly reading, drawing, and enjoying classic television shows, especially "Gunsmoke" and Westerns.
Jerry is survived by his two sons, Michael Wilson and wife Angela and Josh Wilson. His legacy will live on through his four cherished grandchildren: Jocelyn McClain and husband Jesse of Ramer, TN, Lacey Gibson, Lana Gibson, and Brooklyn Gibson.
He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Jennifer Wilson, and a number of siblings: three brothers, Gerald Wilson, Richard Wilson, and Charlie Tranthum, and three sisters, Mary Jean Lipford, Famie Lou Wilson, and Patricia Norlin.
Jerry Don Wilson’s remarkable life touched the hearts of all who knew him, and he will be deeply missed by family and friends alike. His legacy of kindness and strength will continue to inspire those who carry his memory forward.
