Jerry Paul Webster
November 11, 1934 — February 19, 2007
He was born in McNairy County at Finger and grew up in Chester County, the son of the late Cratus Elson and Dona Beatrice Smith Webster. He graduated Chester County High School in 1954 and entered the U.S. Air Force that same year. During his 20 years in the Air Force he served overseas during the Korean War and two tours of duty in Vietnam. He retired from the service in 1974.
After the Service he spent a year at Oakridge in school and then worked in Texas as a metal tester on Oil Riggs. He moved to Tennessee in 1988 and had made his home at the TN State Veterans Home at Humboldt since 1998.
The love of his life for the past 8 years where two pet birds at the Veterans Home, Chloe and Spot.
He is survived by a daughter Sylvia Webster; four grandchildren; two brothers Bill Webster and his wife Jean of Medina and Bobby Webster of Lexington; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
