JERRY ADREN WEAVER, SR.
Finger, TN: Jerry Adren Weaver, Sr. age 77 passed away Monday May 11, 2015 at the Henderson Health & Rehabilitation Center.
He was born April 27, 1938 in the Old Friendship Community of Chester County, the son of the late Jesse Frank and Almedia Callie Naylor Weaver. He attended Chester County School at Old Friendship and welding school at Crump. He married Marilyn Raines in 1963 and they made their home in the Old Friendship Community. He worked as a welder for G M & O Railroad and at Owens Corning Fiberglass. He was a member of the Grace Baptist Church.
He was an outdoorsman and loved hunting and metal detecting. He had many awards in coon dog training and hunting and had trained a World Champion Coon Dog.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Raines Weaver of Finger; a son, Adren Weaver of Jacksonville, FL; two daughters, Dene Taylor and husband Tracy of Henderson and Lisa Plunk and husband Ray of Henderson; three grandchildren and one great grandchild; a sister, Shirley Pickett of Finger.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Marie Isbell, Johnnie Smith and Bonnie Weaver and four brothers, Gordon, Elmo, Eugene and Thurmond Weaver.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with Bro. Jerold Raines and Dr. James Koonce officiating and burial will follow in Old Friendship Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday.
