Jerry Walter Teague

Jerry Walter Teague was born September 19, 1938 in Somerville, Tennessee the son of the late J. B. and Ruth Smith Teague.



He was united in marriage to Ruth Neal Humphrey on June 8, 1962.



Mr. Teague lived a full and active life. He attended Jackson High School, where he was a member of the TKO Fraternity. He enrolled in the University of Mississippi and while there was a member of the SAE Fraternity. Mr. Teague was formerly employed by Commercial Credit, Texaco and Pure Oil Company in Memphis. He also worked for the Carnation Company as a sales manager in New Orleans, and for Perry and Crawford Food Brokers in Jackson, MS. Later, Mr. Teague worked for Teague Oil Company and Harville Lures in Henderson, TN. He spent two years as a quail hunting guide in Center, TX and was most recently employed by General Packaging Corporation in Jackson, TN. He was a member of the Selmer First Methodist Church, the NRA, and had formerly served in the Tennessee Army National Guard.



Mr. Teague departed this life on December 24, 2007 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 69 Years, 3 Months, 5 Days. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Ruth Neal (Humphrey) Teague of Selmer, TN; two sons, Christopher Humphrey Teague and wife Karen Hickman Teague of Selmer, TN and Jimmy Teague of Counce, TN; two grandchildren, Blake Humphrey Teague and Nicholas O'Neal Teague; three brothers, Jimmy Teague and wife Doris Robinson Teague of Jackson, TN, Sammy Teague of Jackson, TN and David Teague and wife Candy of Brownsville, TN; two sisters, JoRica (Teague) Moore and husband Ted of Selmer, TN and Patsy (Teague) Marcum of Paris, TN; his step-mother, Joyce Teague Patton of Brownsville, TN; and a host of relatives and friends.
