Finger, TN: Jerry Wayne Taylor age 72, passed away March 7, 2022 at his home.
He was born July 25, 1949 in Jackson, TN the son of the late Morgan Thomas and Carmen Elizabeth Anderson Taylor, his family were sharecroppers and he grew up in various places and states.
He began working at a young age and held many jobs. Early on he worked as a mechanic then he was a truck driver and retired as an electrician in 2005. He was a hardworking man. He enjoyed gardening, working on tractors and mechanic work.
Mr. Taylor is survived by a son, Brian Taylor (Rebecca) of Finger; two daughters, Laurie Hubanks (Donny) of Reagan and Sandra Simmons (Skeeter) of Finger; six grandchildren, Jeremy Hubanks (Alley), Brandon Hubanks (Rachel), Dakota Simmons (Bethany), Tiffini Moore, Zackary Taylor and Bradley Taylor and twelve great grandchildren; six sisters, Pamela Smith of Henderson, Connie Perez of McNairy County, Janie Knight of Henderson, Margie Harrison of Saulsbury, TN , Libby Humphrey of Trenton, TN and Betty Taylor of Sikeston, MO.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Donnie Ray Taylor, Harold Wayne Taylor and Thomas Taylor and five sisters, Christine Lincoln, Nettie Moody, Louise Gower, Gene McClellan and Lottie Taylor.
There will be no public services.
