Jerry G. James passed from this life at Magnolia Regional Health Center early Sunday morning August 21, 2016 at the age of 70 years, 7 months and 8 days.
Mr. James was born January 13, 1946 to Marion Reeves and Lee Etta Ray James. He was an auto mechanic and had owned his own shop. He lived in the Ashland, MS area until moving to Hardeman County. Mr. James loved to tell jokes, country music, playing the harmonica, antique cars and trucks.
Survivors include his daughter, Lisa C. Burdge of Texas; his son Jerry L. James and his wife Michelle of Holladay, TN; two sisters Judy Johnson and her husband Jimmy of Friendswood, TX and Dorothy Hopper and her husband Dennis of Faulkner, MS; three brothers M. J. James and his wife Elsie of Bolivar, Wayne James of Ripley, MS and Herman James of Ashland, MS; three grandchildren Robert D. Burdge, Jeremy K. Burdge and Kimberly Nicole James. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Call, Annie L. Glover, and Gladys Enos; and two brothers Samuel A. James and Edward Lee James.
