Jerry Talmadge Hatch

Jerry Talmadge Hatch was born November 27, 1935 in the Woodville Community in Bethel Springs, TN, the son of the late Tilman Hatch and Lessie Fulghum Hatch. He departed this life on September 3, 2022 in Bethel Springs, Tennessee at the age of 86 Years, 9 Months, 7 Days.
He was united in marriage to Mary Elizabeth on September 3, 1959. Mrs. Hatch preceded him in death on December 21, 2001.
Jerry retired from the United States Air Force after 23 years of service. He also worked in seismic testing for Schlumberger Oil Company. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, telling stories of the time he lived in Alaska, and playing poker with his buddies.
He is survived by a daughter, Teresa Virgin and husband Jim of Iowa Park, TX; a son, Tommy Marshall of Selmer, TN; two grandchildren, Samantha Anderson of Iowa Park, TX, Andrew Virgin of Fortworth, TX; two great grandchildren, Addison Anderson of Iowa Park, TX, Hayden Hatch of Fort Worth, TX; a brother, Cordell Hatch of Boalsburg, PA; close friend, Bryan Mooney of Bethel Springs.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Hatch was preceded in death by a brother, Emanuel Hatch.
Family services. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children Research Hospital.
